actually…watch it again before commenting. He slides in with a fllipped attitude, thinking he’s surprising his lady but quickly covers up. It’s not instantaneous.
Sooooo cute! this has not been done like this before anywhere. just because multiple ads have nude people does not make them the same. this is perfectly times comedy.
very original and hilarious! this has NOT been done like this anywhere. Just becuase you’ve seen a guy in his speedo in some other ad does not mean it’s the same. This was perfectly times comedy. The guy’s face when he slides out is great!
Hilarious! The timing in this spot is pefect. Just because you’ve seen other guys in speedos on tv in the past does NOT make this the same. This is your contest winner. Nice work!
clearly a bunch of friends of another contestant. this spot is hilarious and the comedy is perfectly times. to sit and slam other good work just because you want you friend to win is unethical. this is your winner.
not bad. premise has been done b4. i found a similar one called ‘wanna get caught’ that just seems better done to me and a bit more original– but both are good.
I’m talking about “Wanna Get Away?” - The VOICEOVER at the end. The entries aren’t supposed to include that language or the written words. It is written in the instructions. The part where your voice is over the rest of the commercial at the end saying, “Wanna Get Away” is a voiceover, which breaks the rules of the contest. I like the video besides that, though. Just trying to point out the foul.
This exact commercial has been done before. Not original at all. And a “voice over” means sound that you added to the commercial that wasn’t part of the actual action regardless of whose voice it is. A character taking part in the action of the commercial didn’t say “Wanna get away?” therefore it was a voice over. So I tend to agree with BEVO.
Actually the rules state that the following: “Do not add Southwest Airlines’ logo or voice over’s in your video.” In no way does that suggest that you can’t do your own custom “wanna get away” title and voiceover. Just to be clear, there is absolutely no (0) Southwest Airlines logos or voiceovers used in the making of this video. I think you may just have misinterpreted the rules incorrectly.
I know nothing about a “voice over” I just love this one. It makes me laugh every time. I keep coming back to watch it. It actually reminds me of the “wanna get away” concept on SWA commericals, and they are all too funny.
This is a very funny spot so I don’t know why you people feel the need to slam on this one or any of the better ads. All of these ads took a lot of hard work so cut them some slack. Also, there seems to be some friends of other contestants slamming everyone else and giving them bad rating, just to help there friend win. Is that really how you want to act? Is that really how you want to win? Just enjoy these commercials people.
I confirmed with SWA this afternoon. Just don’t use their version of the “wanna get away” or closing tag graphic and you’re good. The rules are unclear in that section because just before that it says make your own wanna get away ad and reads strange.
I don’t understand why someone from Southwest would say it’s okay to use your own voiceover. Think about it. If you win- are they going to cut out you version of “Wanna get away?”- and add their own… this would shorten the spot and make it less than 20 seconds. The whole point of the rule is so that they can add their own, “Wanna Get Away” voiceover later, IF YOU WIN. I’m not trying to slam here- but the indignation at the thought of that topic being brought up was kinda funny. Funny spot though…
I see people complaining about “contestants friends” trying to fix the ratings on here- which I agree probably does happen, and sucks… but how do you explain this spot having 387 ratings- when all of those around, except one, have less than 100 ratings… mostly less than 50… I don’t quite understand the judging system here anyway- if they leave it up to the ratings system- then this contest is seriously flawed!
friends are sent invite and they vote and post comments but slamming others just to try and boost up your buddy is not right. besides I think the winner is picked by Southwest and not the votes.
Very true. When you send the link to over 1,000 people you better get some friends who vote for you. That’s what it’s all about. BTW - The winner is not decided by voters.
Attention all haters…if the Voiceover was such a foul, then why did the commercial make it to the site? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Good concept overall.
Yeah… could have been way better. This could have one but.. not near professional. So far bathroom chat has my vote. I’m sorry but it is not very good.
Amateur video makers? So why would the quality need to be professional? This was by far the best executed commercial with great comedic timing. Saying the quality was not good in an amateur contest is like saying that basketball players dunk stunk because that’s an old outdoor rim that’s rusty. Come on! Did you expect this guy to run out and purchase a BIG $$ HD Camera for you?
I wish I could afford an HD camera so the quality could have been better. If I win I would be happy to shoot it on 35mm for Southwest. Maybe I wouldn’t need to have my 9 year old daughter stand and watch the camera while I drove by too? ;0)
This has been done before in a couple of commercials.
yes, it’s been done, but it’s still funny. Oh, the power of anticipation.
this theme is not original….if I am correct….all the wannagetaway commercials are original themes…..
the guy should not have waved at the group……should be instantaneous humility….
not original…
actually…watch it again before commenting. He slides in with a fllipped attitude, thinking he’s surprising his lady but quickly covers up. It’s not instantaneous.
what are you people watching? this is hilarous. perfecty timed humor.
where has it been done? you pleple are crazy. that is hilarious and perfectly times comedy.
Sooooo cute! this has not been done like this before anywhere. just because multiple ads have nude people does not make them the same. this is perfectly times comedy.

By far the most professional one out there, and very funny too!
been done already
clearly a bunch of friends of another contestant. this spot is hilarious and the comedy is perfectly times. to sit and slam other good work just because you want you friend to win is unethical. this is your winner.
Wonderful! Makes me laugh everytime I watch it. Great job! A real winner…..
Very Funny! A sure winner.
I give this one 5 stars. Very well done. Excellent! Funny!
This commercial looks very well done- like a real Southwest ad would look. I hope it wins.
This is my favorite- you can tell a lot of effort went into it!
This was a hilariously fun video!!! Great Job!!
This is hilarious…I can watch it over and over and it still makes me laugh! Great job!
good job here
This flagrantly breaks the rules. People need to read the instructions. No voiceovers, people!
Great Job! I think it’s hilarious and very amusing to watch.
not bad. premise has been done b4. i found a similar one called ‘wanna get caught’ that just seems better done to me and a bit more original– but both are good.
Hey Bevo - THERE WERE NO VOICEOVERS. It’s my very own voice. HA!!
Only one that made me laugh out loud thus far. Very Funny
Hey BEVO. It’s not voice over. I did the narration myself. Thanks
Very funny! I’d give it 5 stars.
I have seen a simular one before on ED. But not this exact thing. I think this is very funny.
Very funny.
this is an old joke as well as an old idea. nicely done though.
The Wife sounds sexy, I would do the same thing after hearing her.

This is pretty funny, but I, too, think I have seen this exact premise before as well.
It’s been done!

i love this one. that guy is a totla tool!

5 million stars. We love it!

Awesome! Way funny, it made me laugh. I’d wanna get away too.
Great job on this one.
whateve dudes…this is funny stuff!
thanks! the wife is sexy! ;0) And thanks a lot for all the votes gang.
Very true. When you send the link to over 1,000 people you better get some friends who vote for you. That’s what it’s all about. BTW - The winner is not decided by voters.
wow was that tom cruise…or just a really unoriginal concept.
Not an original idea, and has been done in different ways before - but good job.
Old, overused, unimaginative, unoriginal and not funny anymore
then you do better! all of these idiots make these big comments but couldn’t do better if they tried. i say hell of a job aptobeme
ouch! that happend to me but it was my father-in-;aw standing in our kitchen. nice job!
funny. i really like this one.
funny. i liked this one a lot.
SWEET!!

There was a close version of this one done by a beer commercial.

It won’t matter if it’s HD or not. This is not a professional director’s competition. You did an excellent job!
true, true…. the quality of the camera should have nothing to do with this contest. this was a good spot.
I’ve been watching all of these videos since December and keep coming back to this one. It makes me laugh every single time.
I keep coming back to this one and laugh every single time.
I love you Paul. We even post alike.
This was very funny. Nice job!
Awesome!
This 1 has to be the winner. Hands down!
HAHAHA finally a guy in a thong. Guy in thong in awkward situation == funny.
This commercial should win. I have zero connection with the maker but it’s by far the funniest. You have my vote!
Soooooo cute!
I REALY THOUGHT THIS WAS GOOD!
sooo funny! nice job
Another bad choice… bogus contest!
Congrats but this one should have won it all. “Caressa” is clearly a contestant that LOST! LOOSER!
This one was very good. Should have won it all!
